{"id":682,"date":"2026-07-22T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2026-07-22T07:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/godswordreigneth.com\/?p=682"},"modified":"2026-07-18T15:09:43","modified_gmt":"2026-07-18T22:09:43","slug":"july-22-parable-of-the-sower","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/godswordreigneth.com\/index.php\/2026\/07\/22\/july-22-parable-of-the-sower\/","title":{"rendered":"July 22 \u2013 \u201cPARABLE OF THE SOWER\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>\u201cAnd <strong>some fell<\/strong> <strong>upon a rock<\/strong>; and as soon as it was sprung up, it withered away, because it lacked moisture.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>&nbsp;Luke 8:6<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>\u201c<strong>They on the rock are they<\/strong>, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>&nbsp;Luke 8:13<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>&nbsp;<\/em>The second type of heart the Lord shows are those who upon hearing the good news of the Gospel, receive it joyfully, seeming to believe for a time. These be those often thought of being \u201ca flash in the pan.\u201d They receive the Word with joy, spring up and for a short time seemingly believe. They get excited and zealous but are often up and down and everywhere. It is really self whom they serve. Then one day you look around: that certain person is gone; and they are nowhere to be found. So true and so sad. <em>(\u201c<strong>If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel<\/strong>, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;\u201d Col. 1:23)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;No moisture, withered, with no roots. Not into the Word or the meat of the Word. Only superficial and often fake. Understanding not what they read or do. Taking in only all the vanity and the praise of men for a short time. \u201cBoy, I\u2019m part of something now.\u201d Etc. By and by they are gone, being without root. No substance or true faith within. Not being real down deep and true in their heart of hearts. All the while knowing they really do not mean business with God. <em>(<\/em>\u201c<em>As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:\u201d I Peter 2:2) (\u201cAnd we desire that every one of you do <strong>shew the same diligence<\/strong> to the full assurance of hope unto the end:\u201d Heb.6:110 (\u201c<strong>It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.\u201d <\/strong>Heb. 10:31)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;Times of temptation come, and they yield to the world, the devil, or their flesh. Away they go down the road back into the world, etc. Hardly giving a second thought of what they are leaving and giving up. Besides it was just a phase they were going through.
