These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so. – Acts 17:11

February 24 – “THE BLOOD THAT CLEANSETH THEE”

“And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.”

Hebrews 9:22

There are some that would say’ “You have a bloody religion.” Some have even taken hymns of the blood out of their hymn books. My what a terrible travesty! My friend, there is no remedy or taking away of sin without the shedding of blood. For it is the precious blood of the Lamb of God; without spot and without blemish, the Blessed Lord Jesus Christ, on the cross of Calvary, that blood He shed for us which only could ever take away our sin! (“But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building; Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.” Heb. 9:11-12) (Rom.3:25) (Hallelujah-Amen!) (Thank the Lord) (“How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?” Heb. 9:14)

Christ Jesus gave Himself to be that one and only supreme sacrifice to God for us. (“By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins: But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God; From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool.” Heb. 10:10-13)

Not as some religions today place Christ back on the cross every time, they have their unholy mass services. Receiving Christ by taking of their communion. Such unbiblical teachings. It is only by the grace of God through faith: in His only and one sacrifice He Himself, through His blood, paid for us on that Old Rugged Cross! (Amen-It is Finished!) (Rom. 3:25 “…a propitiation through faith in his blood…”) (Eph. 2:8-9)

Thus, we have the wonderful and glorious opportunity to go to the throne of grace, crying out to the One: who feels our infirmities, with boldness by the blood of Jesus Christ. (“Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,” Heb. 10:19) (“Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.” Heb. 10:22)

Let us continually flee to that throne of grace with a humble and contrite heart, pouring our hearts out to Him, in our need. (“Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.” Heb. 4:16)

My friend, tell the Lord you are a sinner worthy of His just judgment. Tell Him you trust in His precious blood to cleanse you of your sin and to save you. He will save you now. Christian, flee to that throne of grace while you may.
