These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so. – Acts 17:11

February 23 – “BE STILL”

Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.”

Psalms 46:10

God tells us: Stop the anxiety, the vacillating, the stress, the worry, the fear. (“…know that I am God:…”) Be calm and at peace in thy soul and mind. Seek my face and let my peace that passeth all understanding flood thy heart. (“But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid.” Matt. 14:27) (“…know that I am God:…”) The Almighty One who is omniscient (knows all) and omnipotent (all powerful) controls all. Letting ourselves stress over such minor and insignificant bodily and worldly matters. (“And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:” Matt. 6:28)

Look at the creation of the LORD and His care and provisions for them. (“Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?” Matt. 6:26) (“Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God? But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows.” Luke 12:6-7)

The Lord knows and has not forgotten thee, my Dear fellow Pilgrim. The Lord sees our trials, our hardships, our physical stature, our weakness, our need and our labors of love. (“And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” Gal. 6:9) (“Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.” James 5:11) The LORD GOD be exalted and glorified!
