“The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?”
Psalm 27:1
David knew it was the Lord which made his way and his life, clear and crisp. Being his protector, redeemer, rescuer, and deliverer. Thus, we today can claim this same assurance from our Saviour. Christ Jesus: He is my light and my salvation.
It is the enemy that wishes to tempt saying, “He (the Lord) doesn’t care for you, you’re sick and worthless to Him”. You don’t really believe that do you? You’re lost, you cannot be saved. On and on.
Yes, indeed our enemy wishes to have us cowering in a corner and not living the victorious life we can have in Christ. Remember: (“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” II Tim. 1:7)
Take and holdfast by faith, (“Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.” Heb. 4:14)
